Nick Spencer Grüner Veltliner Tumbarumba 2017 NSW
It has that signature radish and white pepper top note over apple and peach, some spicy biscuit and hazelnut. Light bodied, plenty of spice and a twist of pink grapefruit keeping it fresh and cool, fine acidity and a subtle dusty/white pepper texture, apple drizzled with lemon on the finish, which is fairly long, leaving spice and cool acidity in its wake. It’s subtle, some might think a little dilute, but I think transparent and clear. Needs another year in bottle to start showing its best side, I reckon. Good Grüner.
