“Basket pressed and aged in French and American oak (15% new) for 15 months.”
Fruit to the fore, oak in the background, savouriness given a clear voice. This is a medium-bodied shiraz, well made and presented, with cherry-berry and earth flavours pushing attractively throughout. Acidity sits relatively high but it works in context. Earth/spice notes are almost into pepper and leather without quite tipping over. It drinks well enough now but it will be better at maturity.
